Hello!

I build bridges between code and people.

I am a 3rd-semester Software Engineering student on VIA University College's flexible trainee programme. I enjoy full-stack development and software architecture, but what motivates me most is building software that meets real user needs.

About me

Curious, hands-on and calm under pressure.

I've always wanted to know why things work, and once I know, I can't stop asking myself whether they could work better. Is this really the best it can be? Where's the bottleneck? What would make it smoother for everyone using it? Software is where that curiosity and creativity finally gets to build something. I enjoy investigating the underlying reasons, and the habit goes way back: I spent more hours than I'd like to admit theorycrafting gear and builds in games, just to squeeze out more damage. To me, every technical challenge has an explanation, and uncovering it is what drives my curiosity as a developer.

I'm on my 3rd semester now, learning C# and .NET, building a CPU from logic gates in DigiSim, and digging into algorithms and time complexity.

Every semester hands me new tools, and I can't resist putting them to work outside class too. That's taken me from a clean one-pager for my good friend's barbershop in Roskilde, Hos Qilej, all the way to Tackly, a full marketplace app for equestrian equipment that I now run as my own business, just launched on Google Play, with the App Store up next. Websites, apps and everything in between. I love the variety. Need a website or a small app built? Feel free to reach out!

On our 2nd-semester project, LearnHub, I was Product Owner, keeping the overview, the requirements and the progress on track. Organising people wasn't completely new to me (a few years of leading 25-man raid nights will do that), but this was the first time I got to do it with code, and I loved it. It's a direction I want to keep growing in.

I thrive in the space between the code and the people it's built for.

Rescue specialist training and international tech support taught me to stay calm, take ownership and explain complex things so anyone can follow. I work just as comfortably in English as in Danish, which makes an international team a natural fit.

Things I've built

From a marketplace app live on Google Play and a freelance website for a real client, to semester projects in Java, C# and React, plus plenty of small experiments along the way. Use the filters to switch between personal and school projects.

How I work

Learning by Building

These projects represent different stages of my learning journey. Each one taught me something new, and I keep revisiting older projects to refine them as my skills develop.

From idea to completion

I enjoy small, focused projects where I can take an idea all the way: planning structure, designing simple interfaces and refining functionality through testing and iteration.

Front-end and beyond

From responsive layouts in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to application logic in Java and JavaFX. Even in small projects I put emphasis on readability, structure and maintainability.

Full-stack in practice

I like owning a feature end to end: database, security rules, API and interface. I'm open to small tasks, prototypes and proof-of-concepts for startups, smaller companies and private clients.

Hobbies

Life outside the code

When I'm not studying or working on software, I spend my time on things that keep me both creative and grounded. Interests outside of technology matter, not only for balance, but for inspiration and long-term motivation.

Music

Listening and creating

A creative outlet that contrasts nicely with the structured nature of programming, and a big part of how I relax and recharge.

Family & friends

The people who matter most

I live with my partner and our young son, who has added a new and meaningful dimension to everyday life. Balancing family, hobbies and professional growth is something I care deeply about.

Gaming

Strategy, teamwork and leadership

A long-standing hobby that has shaped how I think about strategy and teamwork. For three years I ran a World of Warcraft guild and led its 25-player raid team at the highest difficulty, a role I grew into because I enjoyed getting a big group to work well together.

Basketball & fitness

Focus, energy and balance

Playing basketball and working out keeps me healthy and clears my head, especially during busy periods of study or work.
